: Born Crains newest release demonstrates the versitility of an accomplished artist. Inspired by the the first decade of his life, IDENTITY pays hommage to the music from that era and tells the story of a true musician who’s come home.
Born started his musical career, as a performer, in 2004. His debut full length album FOOLS RUSH IN
(2006) went Gold in Belgium with 19.000 copies sold and delivering several hitsingles. The Ballad “Don’t Ever Go” from that album became the theme song of the popular tv-show “Aspe”.
The Belgian success of “Fools Rush In” was a solid base for an international expansion. The album was succesfully released in Japan in 2007 and sold more than 50.000 copies overseas.
The success of the album was followed by concerttours in Europe and throughout Japan in Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka.
In 2008 the single “Four Letter Word” was released and was an instant hit on all the major radio stations in Belgium. The second album THE PLEASURE OF YOUR COMPANY
followed later that year. Born Crain made numerous radio and TV appearances with concerts and live performances at festivals throughout Europe.
In 2009 the succes in Japan continued with massive airplay and sales. A busy year of travelling and playing concerts followed. Born Crain has toured the Billboard Live Clubs in Japan, played over 250 shows in Europe and appeared in hundreds of national TV-and radioshows reaching as many as 14 million people in Belgium, Japan & The Netherlands.
, which was released in November 2010 in Europe and Japan was an artistic turningpoint for Born Crain. Co-produced with Jeroen Swinnen (Novastar, Daan, Vive La Fête,…) the album stands out showcasing songs that were not only written but also co-produced by Born.
In 2012 Born Crain recorded a number of covers and interpretations of popsongs, all related to the United States. Due to unexpected succes these 19 songs were released on the BORN IN THE USA
While living in “The Big Apple” for six months, Born was asked to write the score to THE UNWANTED
, a feature movie by director Chris Jun. The time in New York as well as the personal events that followed in his life were the inspiration for his fourth album IDENTITY
Born Crain was awarded in 2007 with a ZaMu award for “Best Belgian Pop” and won the prestigious EBBA (European Boarders Breakers Award) in 2008 at the renowned MIDEM convention in Cannes, France.
